Sundas Khalid

Midwife/Blogger/Foodie

Hey everyone and welcome to my blog!

My name is Sundas and I am a midwife. I qualified from King’s College London in 2018 and have been practicing ever since. Every day is different at work and sometimes it can be quite stressful. So when I am not at work I enjoy writing, it is super therapeutic and I love a good vent. Aside from writing, I am a huge foodie and have a love for cake and all kinds of baking.

I look forward to sharing my experiences, thoughts and yum recipes with you all x

A few of my favourite days…

The first snowfall of 2021… I cancelled my to do list, channeled my inner child and went to play in the snow…

I have a fear of heights but I do love a good hike, just don’t ask me to look down! This was when I climbed Snowdon in 2018 and it is one of my biggest achievements! Facing one of my biggest fears

Graduation Day!

This was one of my favourite days, after spending three years away from home studying and working this was such a wholesome way to bring it all to a close with my loved ones. The most stressful part of the day was finding the right outfit! I had my dress tailor made because I am that extra but it took weeks to find the right material that would look perfect with the lilac sash. Turned out so much better than I expected. Fun fact, I completed my studies in 2018 but Graduation was not until January 2019.

Travel

I love exploring whether that is local, national or international. 2021 was the year I was going to travel the world but that plan is on hold until further notice.

Morocco 2018, a lovely break between finishing university and starting full time work. Plus a cute little getaway for a friends hen-do! Fun fact, I had a job interview the day before we flew out and the job offer the very same day! Was a huge celebration

Food

As I have already mentioned, I am a huge foodie. I love eating food and love cooking it even more. I plan to share some of my favourite recipes on this blog so you can try for yourselves! Plus I will be sharing all my food hacks and tried and tested healthy alternatives to some of my faves…

Culture

My parents are both Pakistani and were both born in Pakistan. There is so much about the culture that I just love, you cannot help but fall in love with the vibes and the hospitality, the food and the jewellery and clothes. I often write about my culture, I have also written about my trip to Pakistan in 2020. Find this on my blog!

Snaps from my most recent trip to Pakistan 2020
